An artist is probably the most powerful person on earth. He can use his imagination to convey messages, stir up emotions or change one’s mood, without even uttering a word. Like a magician, the artist can transport a person into a different world.
From the conception of an idea to the carving out of a unique piece of art may take an artist several months. But the outcome can be enjoyed for years and years to come. One of the finest examples of artistic genius is the art of statue making. Statues may be made of stone, metals like bronze, wood, etc. They may portray an event in history or represent a famous person or depict an animal, bird or object. Statues are mostly a form of public art, meaning that they are exhibited at road crossings, parks or in public buildings.
