I happened to stumble upon a section in Wikipedia that compares different browsers. According to the site, a huge majority of folks out there use IE… something like 75% of Internet users!! What??? Firefox is oh-so-much-better. And now with the help of add-ons you can get Firefox to do almost anything. Have you tried using Firefox for web design and development? If not, you just have to give it a shot. Believe me, you won’t regret it… in fact you’ll be asking yourself how you lived without it till now!!
Font Finder – With this, you can highlight text on any page, right click on it and select “Font Finder.” This will give you all the styling information for the selected portion.
OperaView – With this, you can view web pages on Firefox as you would view them on Opera.
Python Sidebar for Mozilla – This can be added to your Firefox sidebar and lets you make quick reference to Python commands.
Web Developer Toolbar – This offers you numerous tools, such as disabling features on a web page, disabling all cookies, disabling external site cookies, deleting domain cookies, adding cookies and editing the CSS of a web page in a sidebar in real time.
YSlow – This allows you determine which section is making a web page load slowly.
Aardvark – Through highlighting, this tool allows you to identify HTML element type and its class or id just by moving your mouse over the web page.
FireBug – This helps you debug JavaScript, HTML and Ajax code snippets.
Total Validator – This tool helps you to check HTML and links as well as take screenshots.
Codetech – This allows you to edit web pages on Firefox as if you were working on Dreamweaver.
ColorZilla – Colorzilla helps you to choose colors that can be adjusted and placed in another program.

FireBug, and I have been best friends for some time. It’s great for finding issues when building with mootools.
