I’m excited to announce that DezineHQ is going to get its first brand new design. We’re going to change the Quommunication skin and have our own and unique design.
Actually the layout and designing parts are finished and the next step is to create and incorporate them into WordPress theme. The new design is based on the Quommunication template so the layout wouldn’t be that much different.
For creating the new design I used the 99designs Designer Marketplace, which was started and created by the company that is behind one of the top forums for web designers and developers [SitePoint]. It’s similar to their Marketplace section and very easy to use.
I posted my requirements and within a week I got several excellent designs. Then I narrow it down to the couple that caught my eye and sent them some feedback. All the people I communicated with were very professional and easy to work with. Overall excellent place to get your web, logo, or print design.

Simplifying Product Packaging Design
Here is a great project that takes popular products and simplify their packaging design. The designers accomplish to reach to me with each of their “simple variation” of the product packaging and even if I didn’t know about the that product it would definitely catch my eye.
